Welcome to "What's Eating You? Food for Gamers". While the blog isn't really just food for Gamers, it is designed around the idea of providing quick, easy and fairly not-messy food for people who have little time before a game event.
I wanted to add a few things for your lists/meals - cous cous is a GREAT quick meal side dish. It's little pasta grains, and you can pour some in a bowl with boiling water and a dash of salt, cover it for a few minutes, and it's done. :D Easy-peasy!
I serve that as a side to sausage and peppers, which looks and tastes WAY fancier than it is, and takes about 5 minutes - I slice an onion and a couple bell peppers, throw 'em in a pan to start cooking, and slice an already-cooked sausage (like summer sausage, usually) - throw that in to warm up and get some color, and onto a plate! It's perfect for the post-Plague Wing ten minute break. :D
That sounds nummy Jenn, thanks!! I'm hoping we'll get tons of recipe contributions once we figure out the logistics... heck, I haven't even set up a "submit a recipe by..." thingy lol any ideas? hotmail account or somesuch?
I would suggest adding a tag somewhere that says "Make Ahead" for stuff you make a day or two in advance. A lot of my best stuff is pretty slow to make-- the first time around. Then it's just take out of freezer, stick in heatproof container, and bam! Done in 10 minutes!
Another helpful tag set idea might be a special tools type set. Do it up like wow! Requires: Slow Cooker/Crock pot, Requires: Toaster, Requires: Wok, Requires: Bread Machine, Requires: Baking Pan, etc.
And for the submission link (which is a great idea btw!) I volunteer my gmail account, since I don't use it for much. Alternately I think you can set up a gamereats@gmail.com address to automatically forward to another email address!
it's eerie that we keep coming up with the same ideas and telling each other about them via different lines of communication (in other words, check your email please lol)
I think I'll put us "Authors" in the side bar too, and a link to the recently created facebook page which will help when we get to the "promote" stage of the operation.
I love this idea! I'll definitely be keeping an eye on this, and I'll contribute once I get home to my stash of recipes. I'd send you some now, but I am terrible at remembering recipes off the top of my head.

Good idea... adding labels to the "Prep" section, and a new "Requires" section!

I'm looking forward to the "submit recipes" stage!
Nitpicking is good, this is exaclty why I asked for suggestions... I don't have a proof reader :D
